Ukraine as an incubator

Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine continues to be a powerful incubator. Here is an example of new drone technology combined with older (but proven) advanced warheads, and the result is a far more flexible and accurate system.

This perhaps illustrates the single most important lesson from this war: the ability to adapt quickly is everything. It was reported earlier that other advanced artillery shells such as Excalibur did NOT manage to sustain their effect, because the Ukrainians had no access to the hardware and software (proprietary systems) inside the shell. Here it is the opposite. (The example is more complex than that, but the point stands.)
